There’s no cost for you to work with a licensed insurance agent at Great Waters Financial. Our guidance is complimentary. No pressure, no hidden fees. If you choose to enroll in a plan through us, the insurance companies pay us directly.
We recommend connecting around age 60 or earlier. Starting early gives you time to understand your options, plan ahead, and avoid last-minute decisions that can be costly.
If you have a Medicare Supplement Plan, check if your doctor accepts Medicare payments. With a Medicare Advantage Plan, you must check that your provider is in-network.
If you are not receiving Social Security, you must enroll in Medicare Parts A and B to receive benefits. If you are receiving Social Security, you may be automatically enrolled. If you are 65 or older, you can decide whether to start or delay Social Security. Your Medicare Part B premium may be deducted from your Social Security check.
If your employer offers health insurance, speak with HR or an insurance advisor to understand how Medicare affects your situation. Depending on your employer’s plan, you may be able to delay enrolling in Medicare without penalty.
